By train via Öresund bridge

There are different rules for entering Denmark from Sweden. They can rapidly be changed, so always read on the Danish police's website before leaving for Denmark.

DENMARK

As part of slowing down the spread of the Coronavirus / Covid-19, the Danish government has re-introduced entry restrictions as of 12 November 2021. 

1 February 2022

There are new rules for entering Denmark. They are different depending on your circumstances. 

You will find more information on the links below and also which documents are needed. You are responsible for keeping yourself up to date with current rules and that you have the right documents with you.

Masks in Danmark

From Tuesday 1 February 2022 it is no longer compulsory to wear a medical mask on board.

Customs

From 25 October, 2021 the Danish customs will do their usual random passport check on travelers from Sweden to Denmark at Copenhagen Airport Kastrup. You can stay on board if you continue your journey with the same train, as it takes place on the train.

Frequency and more seats available for some departures

From 12 December 2021, the Öresund trains in rush hour traffic will once again run at 10-minute intervals over the Öresund Bridge in both directions.

Updated and correct traffic information you will find where you search and buy your ticket, for example at öresundståg.se or in travel apps of the regional public transport companies.

Reimbursement of tickets

If you have a non-refundable ticket you are not entitled to have it refunded due to the Danish border regulations. Öresundståg offer refundable tickets but not rebookings.
