About Öresundståg
The Öresund-trains form a joint train service system in southern Sweden and Denmark.
The joint inter-county Öresund-train services are run in cooperation between Skånetrafiken, Hallandstrafiken, Västtrafik, Blekingetrafiken, Kronoberg Länstrafik and Kalmar Länstrafik. The services across Öresund are run in cooperation between Skånetrafiken and the National Rail Authority in Denmark.
Common operator
The Öresund-train services in Denmark, across the Öresund-bridge and in southern Sweden are run by the common operator dSBFirst, which has overall responsibility for operating the services, with the exception of the stretch Alvesta-Kalmar for which the Swedish State Railways (SJ) is responsible. dSBFirst has very high ambitions for quality and hopes you as a customer will notice the difference both in the services and on board the trains.
Our routes
The Öresund-trains operate on the following routes:
- Gothenburg-Halmstad-Helsingborg-Malmö (-Copenhagen)
- Karlskrona-Kristianstad-Hässleholm-Malmö (-Copenhagen)
- Kalmar-Växjö-Malmö (-Copenhagen)
The overall idea behind the Öresund-trains is to bring people closer together, whether they are going to the next station or abroad. The Öresund-trains will take you quickly and comfortably to your destination: to colleagues, friends, relatives or fellow students. If you choose Öresund-trains you can use your travel time more efficiently. You can work, study or rest, and maybe even arrive a little wiser than when you left. The Öresund-trains are also for those who have begun to wonder whether the car really is the way to travel in the future and, quite simply, whether to spend the money on petrol or a more environmentally friendly journey.
